Vision, Integrity, Sustainability, and Accountability

Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans. From police brutality to COVID-19 to voter suppression, Black communities are under attack.

We work to disrupt inequality, dismantle racism, and accelerate change in key areas including criminal justice, health care, education, climate, and the economy. When it comes to civil rights and social justice, we have the unique ability to secure more wins than anyone else. Help make racial equity a reality.

We're Celebrating Our 43rd Annual Freedom Fund Gala!

We appreciate your support of the NAACP and the work that we do in the community. We hope that support continues for our 2025 Flint Branch Freedom Fund Celebration. This event will be held on September 20, 2025 at St. Michael’s Event Center, Our guest speaker will be Rev. Dr. Wendell Anthony, a member of the NAACP National Board of Directors. In addition, he is serving his 15th term as President of the Detroit Branch NAACP. This year’s theme, “The Fierce Urgency of Now!”, draws inspiration from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s enduring call to action. It reflects the Branch’s steadfast commitment to advancing civil rights, closing racial disparities, and investing in Genesee County’s future.

We are dedicated to fulfilling our mission in gearing up to fight the voter suppression legislation, as well as voter education and empowerment, education disparities, ensuring we are viable in all areas of inequality.
