The event will take place on <strong>Saturday, October 10, 2026<\/strong>, at <strong>St. Michael\u2019s Conference Center<\/strong>, located at <strong>609 E 5th Ave, Flint, MI 48503<\/strong>. The evening begins with an exclusive <strong>VIP Reception from 5:00\u20136:00 P.M.<\/strong>, followed by the main program at <strong>6:00 P.M.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme, <strong>\u201cWe, The People,\u201d<\/strong> underscores a powerful truth embedded in the opening words of the U.S. Constitution: that the authority of this nation rests not with politicians or the wealthy, but with its people. As America commemorates its <strong>250th anniversary<\/strong>, the NAACP remains steadfast in its mission to secure rights, protections, and opportunities still overdue to many across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Flint Branch NAACP is honored to welcome <strong>Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II<\/strong> as the 2026 keynote speaker. A champion for equity, innovation, and civic engagement, Lt. Governor Gilchrist brings a compelling voice to this year\u2019s celebration of democracy, resilience, and community empowerment.
